Picture books, they tell us something important I had been thinking since I met this book. Telling truth helps you, or money cannot make you happy, no practice no success, etc. But,

there is no saying in this book.

Maybe the tiger is not tiger, it shows something else? Or some words behind the real word? No no, books should not be text book all the time.

深読みで、実はとらは何かを意味してるのか、とか、言葉の裏に真理めいたものがあるのでは、とも考えたけど、いやいやいや。絵本は教訓を子供に教えるもの、という考えが間違い。

You can just fun.

ただ楽しめばいいんだ。

My sons used to laugh the description the tiger eat them all. And they used to look the restaurant happily. They liked it. I enjoyed English interior, and London town, because I have lived there once. I liked this book also. That is all. I had a wonderful time with my sons.

息子たちはとらが、全部食べました、全部飲みました、全部、全部、というところできゃぁきゃぁ喜びました。お父さんの提案でレストランに行くシーンでは、ポテトにアイスクリームをうっとりと眺めていました。彼らはこの本が大好きでした。私はロンドンに住んでいたことがあるので、家の内装や、街の様子を懐かしい思いで眺めました。私もお気に入りだった本です。あぁ、それが大事。

私達親子は楽しい時を過ごしたんだ。
